There, a goat figure called "Azima," is identified also with Mendes or Beelphegor, the scapegoat or physical love (63).
The name "Azima" is partly explicable by the knowledge that the Hebrew word for he-goat is ayin-zayin, usually transcribed as "Az" or "Oz" (similarly, the Greek word for she-goat is "chimaira").
