According to Mit'hat Frasheri (founder of Balli Kombėtar), he believed that the Albanian provinces under the Ottoman Empire were unfairly partitioned during World War I among Yugoslavia and Greece.[17] These beliefs were similar to how Hitler felt when the Central Powers lost in World War I. Hitler also viewed Albanians as a vital warrior mountain race [2][18][19] and as Aryans of Illyrian heritage.[19][20][21] These ideas are one of the core beliefs of the Balli Kombėtar.
ο Στάλιν για τους Αλβανούς:
"[The Albanians] seem to be rather backward and primitive people... they can be as faithful as a dog; that is one of the traits of the primitive. Our Chuvash were the same. The Russian tsars always used them for their bodyguards."
